Amusement arcade use glossy, die-cut postcard printing to encourage customer loyalty

Palace Amusements required postcard printing for their successful chain of south coast amusement arcades.
With a customer base who tend to visit their shops on a daily / weekly basis, customer loyalty may not be seen as an issue. However. Like any good retailer Palace tend to take advantage of seasonal events and any major sporting events as an opportunity to encourage their customers back to the arcades with the opportunity to make guaranteed cash back savings and be entered into big prize draws.
Proactive, with the help of our sister brand Print Scratch Cards, have historically produced scratch card games featuring Christmas, Easter and Halloween designs. This year the Euro 2016 football competition was a perfect marketing opportunity to design a loyalty scheme that would have customers coming back on the day of each match to claim their cash back discount.
It’s important to note here that although the loyalty scheme would run alongside the football competition, the design had to remain completely un-related. The competition is run by FIFA, so tight brand guidelines exist that must be adhered too. With this in mind, we used similar colours (Blue) but a completely generic football styling.
The client wanted the card to stand out and not be a standard size, so we based the entire design around a football shirt. This was a simple die-cut which is ideal for postcard printing.
The card was to be used as a loyalty card, so needed an uncoated back so staff members could mark the card with a pen or rubber stamp. The front was gloss laminated to give an appealing finish.
The same card stock was used for their next batch Halloween inspired postcards.
