There were several user experience (UX) problems with the site, but the main issue was to fix the way the practice information was presented to the user. The original home page was cluttered and required the user to look hard for address and contact and opening times details. By colour coding the branches we were able to create a definite distinction between each location on the home page and collate basic information together in order for the user to see address and telephone details for each practice with a clear link through to that practices home page. The colour coding was carried through to these practice pages too.

Another Feature of this website is the multi-selection header – this is visible throughout the whole website and enables a user via a dropdown, to select a practice to display there contact details – this also work in the responsive mode when viewed on mobile phones and smart devices.

This site was a pleasure to build and has made a huge difference to the practice in terms of branding and identity and will pushed forward into new marketing materials.

Next steps for the website…

Gordon Vets are using our concierge package to ensure the website is constantly monitored and kept up-to date – this flexible package includes their website hosting and a dedicated amount of monthly studio time to update, add new pages, blog posts and functionality.

We’ll be working on integrating aspects of their practice management system on the website shortly, allowing customers to book appointments online, while seamlessly placing that appointment and client details into their in-house database.
